Professional Visitors Tours

For professional groups (including library science student groups, librarians and information technology specialists) interested in bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève, the Professional Visitor Program staff will arrange a visit. Groups are limited to 15 people.

Self-Guided and Guided Tours

Visitors may take a self-guided tour of the library (Lobby, Labrouste Reading Room) by appointment. These tours are available from Monday to Friday, between 9 and 10 AM. Pictures taiken during these tours must be solely used for your personal use. For any other use, please request permission from the Communication and valorisation’s departement.

Guided tours for groups (from 5 to 20 visitors) are available by appointment. The tours offer in-depth presentations of the history of the library, its collections, architecture (Labrouste Reading Room, Réserve and its « Cabinet de Curiosités »). They are offered at no charge and available from Monday to Friday, between 9 and 10 AM. They are in French.

European Heritage Days

Take the opportunity of the European Heritage Days to visit the Bibliothèque (guided tours and self-guided visits, exhibitions, documentaries screening, etc.) on the third Sunday of September.
